Rodale Pleasant Park Community Garden Street Tree Care

Rodale Pleasant Park Community Garden is partnering with the Lower East Side Ecology Center, and Master Composters to care for street trees right outside the garden! We’ll be aerating soil, planting flowers, adding compost and mulch—and learning how street trees help keep NYC green and healthy. You’ll leave with some great skills you can use to care for trees in your own neighborhood. 

We’ve got all the supplies covered. Just dress for the weather and the work. Rain or shine—we’ll be out there! 

We’ll have water available—bring a refillable bottle if you can! Bring a friend, and help spread the word to your neighbors and community groups! There’s a composting toilet on site for your convenience.
