Thursday, August 21, 2025

6:00 p.m.8:00 p.m.

Did you know some crops can keep growing well into November—or even December? Join us to learn which vegetables thrive as we transition into shorter days and cooler nights. We’ll cover key planting deadlines, effective sowing techniques, and maintenance tips to help your fall crops get off to a strong start and keep producing deep into the season. Facilitated by Bronx Green-Up of The New York Botanical Garden.

NYC Parks GreenThumb hosts this event. We are proud to be the nation’s most extensive urban community gardening program, sustaining over 550 gardens throughout New York City. With GreenThumb’s support, community gardens are centers of environmental justice, ensuring that our city is fairer, safer, and greener for all. GreenThumb’s events are free and open to the public.
