Movies Under the Stars: Moonstruck

Celebrating 400 Years of NYC Stories: This summer, NYC Parks is proud to partner with NYC Tourism as part of the Founded By NYC campaign, celebrating 400 years of the City's rich history and cultural impact. 10 of the Movies Under the Stars screenings (2 in each borough) will feature films shot in New York City — highlighting the streets, stories, and spirit that make our city iconic.

Join NYC Parks Queens Recreation in partnership with the Hellenic Film Society for a movie screening of Moonstruck. Loretta Castorini, a Bookkeeper from Brooklyn, finds herself in a difficult situation when she falls for the brother of the man she has agreed to marry. Directed by Norman Jewison, Moonstruck (1987) stars Cher, Nicholas Cage, and Olympia Dukakis.

Movies begin at dusk. This event is FREE and open to the public. Glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited. In the event of heavy rain or extreme weather, the screening may be canceled. The decision to cancel the event will be made prior to the screening and will be promptly posted on our website.
