Green Neighborhoods Program

The Green Neighborhoods Program is an initiative through the NYC Parks’ Stewardship program to engage with localcommunities in the care of street trees, forests, wetlands, gardens, and other natural resources in specificneighborhoods around the city.

Green Neighborhoods

Through the Green Neighborhoods Program, we will focus stewardship efforts in select neighborhoods in need of care.The program will take place in the following neighborhoods:

Who Should Volunteer

The Green Neighborhoods Program is for anyone living or working in or around one the parks or neighborhoods listedabove. We can accommodate local groups and individuals with a wide range of experience levels and abilities. Childrenunder 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of children must be accompanied by adults and maintain a 1:5 ratio ofadults to children (for example, two adults must lead a group of ten children). To sign up a group of 10 or morevolunteers please reach out to stewardship@parks.nyc.gov
